Welcome! I am an associate professor in the Department of Agricultural and Development Economics at Peking University, and a faculty research fellow at the China Center for Agricultural Policy (CCAP). Previously, I was an associate and assistant professor in the School of Economics and Wang Yanan Institute for Studies in Economics (WISE) at Xiamen University. I earned my Ph.D. in management in 2020 from Renmin University of China, and a B.A. in finance and a B.S. in mathematics in 2014 from Southwest University. I was a visiting Ph.D student at Michigan State University, 2018-2019, and Nanyang Technological University, 2017-2018. I am also a research associate at China Finance 40 Forum and Shanghai Institute for National Economy, as well as a fellow and virtual young scholar with Global Labor Organization.

My research interests are in the fields of Development Economics; Urban, Rural and Regional Economics; Agricultural and Resource Economics. Early in my career, my research began with an inherent attraction to New Institutional Economics, which impelled me to examine the efficiency implications of land property rights. My current research combines empirical analysis of administrative data sets, applied theory, structural estimation, and randomized field experiments, to investigate: Misallocation of land and labor; Inter-regional capital allocation; Technology in agriculture; Consumer theory; Institutions and long-run development.
